Nucleus – a blog content management system written in PHP and Javascript. MySQL DBMS is used for data storage.
The system was declared as combining lightness, functionality, simplicity and at the same time having great opportunities for development. This system has high speed of operation and low requirements for server resources, and also supports a large number of different plugins in several languages.
The first edition was published in 2001, initially Nucleus CMS consisted of several scripts that allowed managing users and generating HTML pages.
Version 1.0 was released in 2002. After that, it became possible to manage several blogs from one system.
On June 14, 2014, its developers announced the official closure of the project.
On January 27, 2016, it was announced that development would continue again.
