Pocket – an application that allows you to collect and organize content found on the Internet that the user wants to save for the future.
The first version was released in 2007 as “Read It Later”, it was a paid software available on desktops and laptops. Since 2014, the basic version of the software has been free under its current name. Pocket is currently available on Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry and most web browsers. In 2017, Mozilla bought “Read It Later” and turned the program into an integral plugin in the Firefox browser
The app allows users to save an article or website for future reading. The article is sent to a Pocket list (linked to all of the user’s devices where it is installed) for reading even when there is no internet connection. Pocket removes clutter from articles and allows users to customize the text for a more comfortable reading experience.
