ImpressCMS – a community developed Content Management System build on PHP and MySQL. This tool makes maintaining a website as easy as writing a word document.
The ImpressCMS project was founded in late 2007 as a fork from the Xoops community. Many of the developers of ImpressCMS are veteran developers, designers and users with extensive Xoops knowledge who are committed to fostering a new community and building ImpressCMS. The core of the ImpressCMS platform was inherited from Xoops, but is different from its parent. However, it is ensured that modules and design from the original Xoops core continue to work. This allows users to easily migrate to ImpressCMS and also offers compatibility. The ImpressCMS project is subject to the GNU General Public License Version 2.
ImpressCMS is the ideal tool for multi-lingual websites : both the user interface and the content itself can handle multiple languages.
