Intelligent Web Reader – a speaking browser which reads web pages using a built-in synthetic voice (Spiker 3.0).
It also has the ability to enlarge the font size of the text, making it suitable for the elderly and visually impaired. Intelligent presentation mechanisms, which divide the page into logical sections, provide an excellent visual representation of the page’s graphical layout. Navigating the voiced page using the browser is standard using keyboard shortcuts, and the graphical page division is described using numbered “points.” A point corresponds to a logical section of the page.
The browser offers a number of significant advantages that make navigating websites very simple and fast:
– it does not require any specialized software
– it is a standalone program that can be installed quickly and easily
– it can be learned in just a few minutes
– it is based on the popular Mozilla browser
– it has a built-in speech synthesizer
– it has a built-in automatic update function
IVO Software produces speech synthesis software used in applications such as rehabilitation of the blind and visually impaired, and in telecommunications.
