KVIrc – a free and open source, portable IRC client based on the Qt GUI toolkit. KVirc is being written by Szymon Stefanek and the KVIrc Development Team with the contribution of many IRC addicted developers around the world.
The KVIrc lets you send and receive information with with your IRC server. KVIrc also filters and provides an user-friendly interface for the communication protocol. KVIrc contains a scripting language that allows you to implement automated reactions to the network events. The scripting language allows you to enchance the KVIrc’s interface and to handle special IRC network features that KVIrc itself is not aware of.
