WikkaWiki – an open source Wiki software. WikkaWiki is a fork of the Wakka Wiki application, to which many additional features have been added.
In 2003, development of Wakka Wiki was discontinued, although a large part of the community was still involved in the project. The first version of WikkaWiki was released in May 2004 by Jason Tourtelotte.
WikkaWiki was designed to be very fast, extensible, and secure.
WikkaWiki offers support for many types of nested elements, such as:

– flash
– tabular data
– HTML
– RSS feed
– i-frames
– mindmap
– as well as advanced code highlighting using GeSHi, support for the syntax of 68 programming languages and element descriptions, and easy customization of appearance.
The application also offers advanced data access control, with user registration, password management, and user profiles.
The last version of WikkaWiki was released in 2020.
