Otter Browser – an open-source web browser that aims to recreate aspects of Opera 12.x using Qt framework while keeping seamless integration with users’ desktop environments. It is focused on providing the powerful features power users want while keeping the browser fast and lightweight.
The browser is written primarily in C++ and leverages powerful features offered by the Qt5 framework. It also uses JavaScript for interacting with rendering engines (when native APIs are not available) and Python 3 is the preferred language for creating tools to ease development.
Main features:
– passwords manager
– tabs grouping (stacking and panorama mode)
– support for tab thumbnails embedded in tab bar
– feeds reader (as module)
– helper for mouse gestures
– fine-tune UI (sizes, margins, and other details)
– bookmarks and various related features
– mouse gestures
– user style sheets
The project developer is Michał Dutkiewicz.
