Telegram – an open source messaging app with a focus on speed and security which is available for several platforms, such as: Linux, OS X, Windows, Android, iOS, and as a web based application as well. Telegram can be used on all your devices at the same time — your messages sync seamlessly across any number of your phones, tablets or computers.

Users can send messages and exchange photos, videos, stickers and files of any type. Telegram also provides optional end-to-end-encrypted messaging. The official clients (applications) are open-source but the server-side code is closed-source and proprietary.
