TextEdit – a document authoring program which allows you to write simple texts, then format and print them. It is the successor to SimpleText.

The most important functions of the program:
– support for rtf, rtfd, xml, docx and odt formats,
– support for HTML and MS Word files,
– opening files from the SimpleText program (without saving in this format),
– creating tables, lists,
– spelling check,
– automatic saving of the document at a specified time.
