Jive (previously: Clearspace, Jive SBS, Jive Engage) – a commercial, proprietary tool for collaboration and knowledge management of Enterprise 2.0 class based on Java EE, produced by Jive Software. The application was first released as “Clearspace” in 2006, then renamed SBS (“Social Business Software”) in March 2009, in 2011. on “Jive Engage”, and in 2012 on “Jive”.

Jive is an intranet people really love to use. On top of that, we’ve added special capabilities that take participation, enthusiasm and engagement to a whole new level.

Jive integrates the functionality of online communities, microblogging, social networks, message boards, blogs, wikis and instant messaging in one unified user interface.

The product is a server-side web application that is solely based on Java and will run on any platform where Java is installed (JDK 1.5 or later).

Starting with Jive 8 released on March 30, 2015, there is an internal version of Jive-n (either consumer-hosted or Jive-hosted as a service) and a Jive-x version that is an external version hosted as a service. Jive no longer supports the wiki markup language.
